Just in time for Halloween, a new release of Colossi fully implementing the 2.0 construction - Ogres!

Colossi 2.0

I'm releasing the 2.0 version of the Colossi today.  I hadn't planned on releasing a new version so soon, but I found a construction method that fixes the 'jumping' glitch when the avatars rez or you change camera distance so I went ahead with the release.

The 2.0 Colossi has a 3 part construction - Body, Deformer and Head instead of the 1 piece design of the original Colossi.  The Deformer stretches the Avi to fit the mesh and offsets the Z-axis so that the feet of the Colossi rest at ground level.  If you alter the underlying shape to where the feet float or sink into the ground, you can switch to a Deformer with a different Z-offset.  The separate head facilitates the use of custom head shapes.

Because the Body section is based on the same mesh as the original Colossi, any clothing designed for the original Colossi will still work with the 2.0 version.  Overall there are a lot of improvements on the original design, so I'm really excited.
