Titan Ireen dress from Bare Rose

June Dion always produces stunning work, but sometimes she goes above and beyond.  This stunning new dress from Bare Rose really embraces the idea of being 'larger than life'.

Fantasy Faire 2013 Midweek

If you didn't catch it in #Colossi - June Dion of Bare Rose has released a Colossi version of her special Fantasy Faire edition Kiristan Paladin Lady.  It's an absolutely stunning outfit and I highly recommend picking up a copy.  (Be careful - it shares a vendor with the Lolas and Petite versions of the outfit, so make sure it's set to the correct item - TtPl Kirisitan Paladin Lady).

2013 Fantasy Faire - Special Editiions

It's about time to preview my donation items for the 2013 Fantasy Faire.  My special edition avatar is called Golem, and will be available in both male and female versions for both Colossi and normal sized Avis.  In addition to the detailed rock-like texture, each Golem comes with a pair of color change Gem eyes.  You'll be able to purchase them at my store in Lumineria while the Faire is running.

In addition, I created a gift item for the Fantasy Faire Key of Hope Hunt.   It includes male and female full avatars.  The skin color is one of my favorites, a pale indigo I call Newton (after Sir Isaac Newton who added indigo to the rainbow).  The outfit is a normal sized version of the Spartan outfit included with my first and most popular Colossi, the Titan.

Anyways - here they are.

Colossus

It's not often that I get to feel like a petite in my big avi - but the Colossus of Rhodes at Fashion for Life is really, well, ...Colossal.

Found Items

Hi - my last post on the mesh bikinis I found at Bare Rose made me think of other things I've found or adapted for the Colossi.  Hair is probably the most commonly adapted item (no rigged mesh hair sadly, since it can't be resized) but here are a couple of other really nice items that, while they weren't released for the Colossi, work very well:

Glamorous Petite Skins - Jeanette's Joint by Jeannette Doobie
marketplace

While I'm currently working on making more skin options available for the Colossi than what is sold at my store, this is one option that was designed for Petites but works great on Colossi too.  JJ's petite skins are texture files based on the standard SL UV map which works for both Petites and Colossi.  Since all Colossi are mod, it's a fairly simple process to apply the skins to the avi and the end result looks great.  The personality kits provide a range of different makeup looks and there are both male and female skins available.  The skins do say 'for Petite Mesh Avatars only' but I've tested them on Colossi and they work fine.  If you're concerned, there are also demos you can try out.

Word of caution - while the skins work great on Colossi, not everything at Jeanette's Joint will.  The finger and toenail sets for petites are based on a different UV map, so her lovely manicure sets can't be adapted.

FATEeyes - FATE by Damien Fate
marketplace

These are probably the best eyes I've found in Second Life for any avi - highly detailed, incredibly customizable and absolutely gorgeous.  Best of all, resizing them to fit the Colossi is incredibly easy.  Last time I visited the in-world store, the eyes weren't on display - but you can get them easily enough from the marketplace.  There's also a really cool demo video available here: FATEeyes v2.0

Here's a Pic of me wearing both the FATEeyes and the ~Peony~ skin from JJ's with the ~Dahlia~ personality package.

Waiting for Summer

Bare Rose continues to release amazing outfits for the Colossi - I fell behind in posting them and I don't think I'll manage to catch up.  If you haven't been there recently - go.  It's worth it.  Recently I stumbled across a very nice set of mesh bikinis there that, while they're not released for the Colossi, resize to fit very nicely:

The set is called Bikini Seven and is in the mesh section of their store.  Probably a bit cold still to dress like this all the time - but I'll be set once summer rolls around. =)
